Meet Staff Where They Are — Not Where You Wish Them to Be
For today’s young workers, work-life balance is important. The research shows they feel that “[t]aking care of oneself and managing familial and friend relationships are equally as important as work.”
Is your work environment built with work-life balance in mind? Are you losing out on great candidates because you want them to work harder or to work longer hours than they want to? Could you negotiate a compromise with them without feeling like you’re caving in to a spoiled generation? (Would it help if you knew that productivity decreases after about 35 hours of work in a week?)
And shouldn’t work-life balance be important for everyone?
What are you doing for yourself?!
