What Loyalty Is - and What It Isn’t

Let’s talk about “loyalty”.

In this Presidential administration, that word means standing up for the current leader, no matter what.  It’s about doing and saying “nice things”.

But that has nothing to do with leadership.  It has to do with fear.  And the results are not creative nor innovative.  That kind of loyalty maintains the status quo, at best.

Actual loyalty is earned, by someone who makes good decisions and who supports those who need it.  True loyalty is about knowing your leader will listen to you, even (especially) if you don’t agree with their stance.

What we’re looking at now is much closer to the Communism his followers are so afraid of—where those in power create systems (and take advantage of them) to increase their power and their own personal wealth/lifestyle while dismissing those “below” them (which is everyone).  This is NOT ok.

Again, blaming others isn’t what leadership is about.
