Can You Measure Success?
“The fundamental failure of the present system is that economic success is measured strictly according to monetary indicators, such as the Gross Domestic Product for countries, or financial profit for businesses.”
While there are some companies that focus on other measures (specifically b-corp businesses), we do – at the organizational and individual level – often measure success by income (or profit). Is that really what is most important?
How do you measure success? Do you care more about efficiency and investor returns than you do about your customers and your workers? What else can you measure to bring your actions more into line with what actually matters to you (and to others)?
