Girls versus Boys - School versus Office
“From elementary school through college, girls are more disciplined about their schoolwork than boys; they study harder and get better grades. Girls consistently outperform boys academically. And yet, men nonetheless hold a staggering 95 percent of the top positions in the largest public companies.”
This article questions whether we’re indoctrinating girls with skills that aren’t as useful in the workplace. Or… does the workplace value a misguided set of skills? (Where women are in leadership positions, those companies have higher rates of growth and economic success.)
Or, are we simply waiting for the old guard to retire so there is room for a more balanced leadership team?
