A Better Environment

My husband is on the pre-order list for a new all-electric car, the Tesla Model S.  As such, we were invited to a tour of the Tesla factory in Northern California. 

The photo below shows the line between what Tesla has renovated for their current use and what the factory used to look like.  Note how dark the factory used to be, and how it is now gleaming – with lighter colors and more light. 

Imagine the difference for the workers.  Not only can they see what they are doing better, the whole environment feels more taken care of and more professional.  Likewise, I suspect the workers on the floor will want to take care of this environment and the product they are manufacturing.  A win-win all around, and any costs incurred will likely be made up through increased productivity.
