Transparency

Note:  I sometimes take current events and discuss them in the context of how people are treated – by systems and as individuals.  Please consider these discussions as topical to the workplace and not as political statements.

The content of this article isn’t as important as the reaction it galvanized in me.

Transparency would make a lot of these problems disappear.  If politicians had to post their receipts (for instance), 1) they would think twice about misspending taxpayer money, and 2) there are plenty of people who would comb that information (at no cost to the government) and bring to light any discrepancies or abuses like this.  That’s my two cents...
