Ten Myths About Introverts

There has been a lot of wonderful research done about introverts and the strengths they bring to organizations.  The truth is that our businesses often reward extraverts – those who speak up and who create relationships with so many people around them.  But introverts are needed too, to round out your team, to provide quiet support, and to think deep thoughts.

Don’t dismiss their strengths.  How are you managing your introverts?  How can you help their voices be better heard?  (One example is to have team members write down their ideas and share them before brainstorming in person.)

Introverts also make great managers who let their teams shine.
