Think Loooong
Seeing this article (and my initial gut response to it – below) reminds me of my post on June 16th about short-term thinking and how we need to stretch our minds to consider the longer-term effects.
Deregulation as a means of propping up the economy is short-sighted. We know we need to make changes for our long-term health. If we can stop clawing our way backwards, we could lead the way in adapting to these new circumstances – creating new industries and new jobs, not to mention a healthier world.
How can you ensure you keep looking forward – and moving forward – rather than getting stuck in the past and wishing things would never change (or would go back to how they used to be)? Who are the people you should be listening to in order to know what’s coming? What are the steps you could take to be ready for the next ____ (whatever)?
